COVID-19 QUESTIONS

We know you’re being overwhelmed with news about COVID-19 and we know it is a lot right now given the uncertainty of the market. Here at The Get Moore Results Team at RE/MAX Hallmark Chay, we are committed to being both responsive and proactive in protecting your interests, navigating these times with everyone’s safety in mind. Here are frequently asked questions about RE/MAX Hallmark Group of Companies operations and response to COVID-19:

WHAT IS HALLMARK’ CHAY'S ACTION PLAN? ARE WE CURRENTLY OPERATIONAL TO CLOSE TRANSACTIONS? Given our sophisticated back end infrastructure, our brokerage is uniquely positioned to maintain operational continuity thanks to receive and transmit documents digitally, should the government require businesses to operate remotely. during the novel coronavirus outbreak.

WILL RE/MAX HALLMARK CHAY BE ABLE TO CLOSE TRANSACTION ON TIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE? Yes, provided the banks, solicitors and Teranet remain operational, we are running business as usual with enhanced safety measures.

CAN RE/MAX HALLMARK CHAY RECEIVE DEPOSITS ON A TRANSACTION ELIMINATING THE NEED FOR A PHYSICALCHEQUE?  Yes. The buyer simply pays the deposit via wire transfer or direct deposit which goes right to our trust account the next business day. Please note that an account number is required and the Moore Results team will supply that information when required.

HOW WILL YOU SEND MONEY TO THE SELLER’S LAWYER IF COURIERS SHUT DOWN? In accordance with the standard form OREA contract we can wire closing funds to the other side. As we have multiple trust accounts set up at the various banks in Canada and we use their cash management platforms to be able to release wires from anywhere in the world. By having access to such banks, Buyer’s lawyers can transfer funds to at our account without the need of sending cheques.
